Event - Early Years 'Fit Stop' Official Opening

10 May 2019

Our Early Years ‘Fit Stop’ activity area was officially opened by the Chair of the Perkins Educational Foundation, Stephen Roberts. The equipment has been generously funded by the Foundation and the Bidford School Association.

We were also joined by other members of the Foundation and representatives from the School Association.

The ‘Fit Stop’ comprises a ‘Heron’s Nest’ climb-around and a triple traversing wall with safety surfacing. To help children have the best start in life, our school aims to provide an enabling early years environment which stimulates and supports rich learning opportunities through play and playful learning. The ‘Fit Stop’ will provide space for daily energetic play, giving opportunities for children to be active, develop good control and co-ordination and maintain good health. Pupils will learn to move confidently in a range of ways, safely negotiating the space.

It is a valuable addition to our school facilities and we are extremely grateful to the Perkins Educational Foundation and the Bidford School Association for making it possible.
